The Triennial Special Youth Plan. These are some words heavy with meaning and dear to the Head of State of Cameroon, H.E. Mr. Paul BIYA.
The objective of this plan is to facilitate and accelerate the socio-economic integration of at least 1,500,000 young Cameroonians.
And one of the unavoidable conditions for the success of this ambitious plan, identified during preliminary work and field surveys, is to mobilize young project leaders in order to create a virtuous synergy of action.
The models chosen to group these young people by sector and geographic area are the Pioneer Villages and the Clusters.
In order to implement the very high vision of the President of the Republic, the Ministry of Youth of Cameroon, under the leadership of Mr. Mounouna Foutsou, it was imperative to overcome real challenges.
It was about :
- Determine the steps and actions to be taken for the installation of young people in mail-order selling;
- Document work procedures
- To popularize the processes among the executives of the Ministry of Youth of Cameroon.
Working on large-scale projects like these is never easy. And as he would expect, we had to :
Manage the pressure related to the size of the parent project (Special Youth Three-Year Plan);
Model new concepts ;
Produce a simple and understandable synthesis for stakeholders.
Called to the rescue by the top management of this ministerial department, Africa Designs Innovation has answered the call of duty.
To solve the problem raised by this last point, MINJEC, with the help of our team of experts, organized several workshops to equip its managers with the new processes:
- The national training workshop for MINJEC's 30 Great Trainers was held in Yaoundé, specifically at the Multifunctional Center for Youth Promotion (CMPJ) in Mimboman from June 15 to 19, 2020;
- 10 regional workshops to strengthen the capacities of the 1,000 coaches installed in the 433 CMPJs in the 10 regions of Cameroon. These workshops were held simultaneously throughout the country for one week.
At the end of this work, both strategic (drafting of procedures) and operational (training of large trainers in the Central region and facilitators in the Far North region), Africa Designs Innovation delivered the copy. Or rather, the copies :
Trainer's Handbook : intended for the animators of the Multifunctional Youth Centers who will train the thousands of young beneficiaries of the project;
Procedures Manual : Which detail the actions to be implemented in order to install young project leaders in Pioneer and Cluster Villages in the safest and most productive way.
Outil d’analyse des projets : which allows youth coaches to evaluate the profitability of the projects submitted for their assessment. All this while entering a few key figures.
